    Empathize

    Step 01.

Gain an empathetic understanding of the problem and the people affected by the problem. This involves observing, engaging, and interviewing the people impacted to gain insights.

    broken image

    Define

    Step 02.

Clearly define the problem based on the insights gathered in the Empathize step. This involves synthesizing all the information into a specific problem statement.

    broken image

    Ideate

    Step 03.

Brainstorm a large quantity of ideas and solutions mapped to the defined problem. This step employs creative thinking techniques to come up with many innovative ideas.

    broken image

    Prototype

    Step 04.

Quickly design and build prototypes or initial versions of some of the ideas. The prototypes help to visualize concepts, try different solutions, learn, and improve the ideas.

    broken image

    Test

    Step 05.

Get feedback on the prototypes and ideas from the people impacted by the problem. Incorporate the feedback into the solutions and repeat testing in an iterative fashion

    broken image

    Implement

    Step 06.

Develop final solutions and plan to implement them. Get buy-in and support from critical stakeholders to execute the solutions. Measure the impact and then iterate improvements.
